Synthesis and properties amphiphilic meso-arylsubstituted porphyrins
Synthesis of amphiphilic meso-arylsubstituted porphyrins with hydrophobic long chain groups and with terminal carboxylic and hydroxylic groups via dipyrrolylmethanes and with the use of monopyrrolic condensation is described.

Entropy analysis of nickel(II) porphyrins network via curve fitting techniques
Nickel(II) porphyrins typically adopt a square planar coordination geometry, with the nickel atom located at the center of the porphyrin ring and the coordinating atoms arranged in a square plane.

This review explores how in situ and operando spectroscopic techniques reveal the real‐time behavior of reticular materials, including MOFs and COFs. These methods track material formation and functionalization, structural changes, defect formation, dynamic responses to external triggers, and catalytic processes.

Electrically addressing the spin of a magnetic porphyrin through covalently connected graphene electrodes [PDF]
We report on the fabrication and transport characterization of atomically-precise single molecule devices consisting of a magnetic porphyrin covalently wired by graphene nanoribbon electrodes. The tip of a scanning tunneling microscope was utilized to contact the end of a GNR-porphyrin-GNR hybrid system and create a molecular bridge between tip and ...

Synthesis of Asymmetrical Porphyrins Substituted in the meso-Position from Dipyrrolomethanes
A convenient procedure for the synthesis of 5-(4-acetamidophenyl)-10,15,20-tris(4-substituted phenyl) porphyrins from dipyrrolomethane is reported. meso-(4-Substituted phenyl) dipyrrolomethanes were obtained in yields of 72-84%. The amide porphyrins were

Hierarchically porous covalent organic frameworks (hCOFs) are constructed using a solvothermal template‐induced synthetic strategy. Commercially available zinc oxide nanoparticles are employed as hard template enabling an increase in total pore volume in a series of COFs.

When do tripdoublet states fluoresce? A theoretical study of copper(II) porphyrin [PDF]
Open-shell molecules rarely fluoresce, due to their typically faster non-radiative relaxation rates compared to closed-shell ones. Even rarer is the fluorescence from states that have two more unpaired electrons than the open-shell ground state, for example tripdoublet states (a triplet excitation antiferromagnetically coupled to a doublet state).

Porphyrias associated with malignant tumors: Results of treatment with ionizing irradiation [PDF]
Background: Porphyrin metabolism disorders, known as porphyria, represent inherited or acquired diseases. The development of porphyria due to light sensibility occurs especially with exposure to wavelengths in the range of 300-700 nm.

Porphyrins as Theranostic Agents from Prehistoric to Modern Times
Long before humans roamed the planet, porphyrins in blood were serving not only as indispensable oxygen carriers, but also as the bright red contrast agent that unmistakably indicates injury sites.

Responsive Molecules for Organic Neuromorphic Devices: Harnessing Memory Diversification
Responsive molecules are essential for organic in‐sensor computing devices. This Review highlights recent advances in thedesign, synthesis, and incorporation of electrically, optically, and magnetically responsive molecules in multifunctional synaptic perception devices endowedwith both nonvolatile and volatile memory diversification. By exploiting the
