Active Site Determination of Heterogenized Molecular Electrocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we develop a methodology to examine the active site availability of immobilized transition‐metal molecular complexes via cyclic voltammetry. By using varying loadings of the molecular complex FeTPP physically immobilized onto Vulcan Carbon, we show the influences of FeTPP/VC ratios on the total number of active sites.

Relative Exchangeable Copper Confirms Wilson Disease and Supports Reclassification of the ATP7B p.Met665Ile Variant With Conflicting Pathogenicity Evidence

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Wilson disease (WD) is an autosomal recessive disorder of copper metabolism caused by ATP7B mutations. Diagnosis is usually straightforward in symptomatic patients, but can be challenging in children and adolescents with mild liver disease, borderline urinary copper excretion, or inconclusive genetic findings.

Nanomaterial‐Mediated Near‐Infrared Photothermal Neuromodulation for Neurologic Disorders

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
This review summarizes how near‐infrared light activates photothermal nanomaterials to enable noninvasive neuromodulation with high spatiotemporal precision. It elucidates the underlying mechanisms, explores targeted therapeutic applications for neurological disorders, discusses integration with optogenetics and biosensors, and addresses future ...

Thermal alteration of organic matter in recent marine sediments. 1: Pigments [PDF]

open access: yes
Sediment from Tanner Basin, the outer continental shelf off Southern California, was analyzed for photosynthetic pigments and their derivatives, namely carotenes and chlorins. Samples of the sediment were also exposed to raised temperatures (65, 100, 150

Dibenzazepin‐verbrückte Netzwerk‐Polymer‐Phthalocyanine als abbaubare heterogene Photokatalysatoren

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

Covalent Organic Framework–Carbon Nanotube Core–Shell Nanohybrids for Enhanced Catalytic Site Utilization of Molecular Catalysts in CO2 Electroreduction

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Covalent organic framework–carbon nanotube (COF–CNT) core–shell nanohybrids are developed as an efficient platform to enhance the site utilization of molecular catalysts for electrochemical CO2 reduction. The well‐defined nanostructure promotes catalytic site accessibility, achieving CO turnover frequencies among the highest reported to date.

Dibenzazepine Bridged Network Polymeric Phthalocyanines as Degradable Heterogeneous Photocatalysts

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Dibenzazepine photodynamic bridge has been introduced to zinc and cobalt networks phthalocyanines (NP‐Pcs) to obtain degradable heterogeneous photocatalysts. For the first time, light irradiation plays a key role in “design, use and degradation” of NP‐Pcs.
