Contrasting Food Web Dynamics Across Oceanographic Boundaries in Subarctic Pelagic Ecosystems

open access: yesFisheries Oceanography, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Understanding the structure of pelagic food webs across multiple trophic levels is critical for elucidating species interactions, energy flow, and anthropogenic impacts on production. This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the eastern North Pacific pelagic food webs, focusing on the Gulf of Alaska (GoA) during late winter of 2019.

Divergent Environmental Niches and Climate Vulnerabilities of Jonah Crab (Cancer borealis) and Atlantic Rock Crab (Cancer irroratus)

open access: yesFisheries Oceanography, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Jonah crab and Atlantic rock crab in the United States are currently assessed by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration climate change vulnerability assessments under the category Cancer crabs due to a dearth of species‐specific information across the attributes assessed.

Divergent Numbers, Convergent Narratives: The Paradox of Gender Pay Gap Reporting

open access: yesGender, Work &Organization, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article examines the first three cycles of Ireland's gender pay gap (GPG) reporting regime. Drawing on a longitudinal analysis of 546 organizations, the study reveals a fundamental paradox: organizations with dramatically different statistical outcomes employ remarkably similar narrative strategies and interventions.

Interactions of land use and climate change disproportionately impact Lepidoptera of the five major insect orders

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
Land use and climate change are two major environmental pressures that interact to impact insect biodiversity. We compared the impacts of land use alone and of the interaction between land use and climate change on the five major insect orders. Most impacted were the Lepidoptera, showing 91% lower total abundance in sites of high‐intensity agriculture ...
