Adjoints of Generalized Composition Operators with Linear Fractional Symbol

open access: yesExtracta Mathematicae, 2016
Given a positive integer n and φ : U → U, an analytic self-map of the open unit disc in the complex plane, the generalized composition operator Cφ(n) is defined by Cφ(n)f = f (n) ◦ φ for f belonging to some Hilbert space of analytic functions on U.

Exploring the impact of prenatal perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances exposure on blood pressure in early childhood: A longitudinal analysis

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
Previous research investigating the correlation between prenatal exposure to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and subsequent blood pressure (BP) in offspring has yielded limited and contradictory findings.

A cone-theoretic approach to the spectral theory of positive linear operators: The finite-dimensional case

open access: yes, 2010
This is a review of a coherent body of knowledge, which perhaps deserves the name of the geometric spectral theory of positive linear operators (in finite dimensions), developed by this author and his co-author Hans Schneider (or S.F.

Elliptic behaviour in the sawtooth standard map

open access: yes, 2017
This paper examines the standard map with sawtooth nonlinearity when the eigenvalues of the Jacobian lie on the unit circle. This is an area-preserving map of the torus to itself that is linear except on a line on which it is discontinuous.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Linear model for wavelet transform of recombination map of chromosome arm 2L.

open access: yes, 2012
(A) In a linear model for the detail coefficients of the wavelet transform of the recombination map of chromosome arm 2L, covariates are the detail coefficients of wavelet transforms of data quality, gene content, GC content, divergence, and diversity ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.
