Separation structure of positive radial solutions of a semilinear elliptic equation in Rn

open access: yes, 2003
This paper deals with the following inter-connected subjects: (i) Separation of positive radial solutions is studied for the elliptic equation Δu+K(|x|)up=0 in Rn. In case r−ℓK(r) is decreasing, with suitable decay rate, to a positive constant as r→∞ for

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

On existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions of elliptic equations with nearly critical exponent and singular coefficients

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2021
In this paper we study the existence and asymptotic behavior of solutions of $$-\Delta u=\mu\frac{u}{|x|^{2}}+|x|^{\alpha}u^{p(\alpha)-1-\varepsilon},\qquad u>0 \ \text{in}\ B_{R}(0)$$ with Dirichlet boundary condition.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Radial solutions for a nonlocal boundary value problem

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2006
We consider the boundary value problem for the nonlinear Poisson equation with a nonlocal term −Δu=f(u,∫Ug(u)), u|∂U=0. We prove the existence of a positive radial solution when f grows linearly in u, using Krasnoselskiiés fixed ...

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Localized radial solutions for a nonlinear p-Laplacian equation in $R^N$

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2008
We establish the existence of radial solutions to the p-Laplacian equation $ \Delta_p u + f(u)=0 $ in $\mathbb {R^N}$, where $f$ behaves like $|u|^{q-1}u$ when $u$ is large and $f(u) < 0$ for small positive $u$. We show that for each nonnegative integer

A system of equations involving the fractional p-Laplacian and doubly critical nonlinearities

open access: yesAdvanced Nonlinear Studies, 2023
This article deals with existence of solutions to the following fractional pp-Laplacian system of equations: (−Δp)su=∣u∣ps*−2u+γαps*∣u∣α−2u∣v∣βinΩ,(−Δp)sv=∣v∣ps*−2v+γβps*∣v∣β−2v∣u∣αinΩ,\left\{\begin{array}{l}{\left(-{\Delta }_{p})}^{s}u={| u| }^{{p}_{s}^{

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
