Accumulation of Tau Protein, Metabolism and Perfusion—Application and Efficacy of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) Imaging in the Examination of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Syndrome (CBS)

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2019
Neuroimaging in the context of examining atypical parkinsonian tauopathies is an evolving matter. Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) bring tools, which may be reasonable in supplementary examination,

Quantitative Mass Spectrometry‐Based Biodistribution of Monoclonal Antibodies: An Alternative to Radio‐Biodistribution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Monoclonal antibodies are powerful anticancer therapeutics targeting tumor‐associated antigens. Mass spectrometry enables precise and accurate quantification of mAbs in tumor plasma and healthy organs. Unlike ligand binding assay and radioactivity, mass spectrometry does not suffer from matrix effects and labelling artefacts while facilitating method ...

Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Radiopharmaceuticals in Multiple Myeloma

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Multiple myeloma (MM) is a plasma cell disorder, characterized by clonal proliferation of malignant plasma cells in the bone marrow. Bone disease is the most frequent feature and an end-organ defining indicator of MM.

Nanomedicine Meets Immunotherapy: Advancing Adoptive Cell Therapy with Nanoparticles in the Treatment of Cancer with Sustainability Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review surveys nanoparticle‐based strategies to enhance adoptive cell therapy, particularly CAR‐T cell approaches, in solid tumor treatment. It describes how nanoparticles can improve tumor immunogenicity and T‐cell infiltration while reducing toxicity, and how they enable in vivo CAR‐T cell generation.

18F-FDG PET and combined diffusion weighted MRI features in pleural infection: A case report

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports
Fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (F-18 FDG PET/CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have been used as problem-solving modalities in cases of infectious or inflammatory diseases or primary or secondary ...

Orthogonal Ionic Liquid‐Based Extraction Strategy Enables Amyloid‐Specific Profiling of Aggregate Proteome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An orthogonal ionic‐liquid extraction (Orth‐iEA) enables selective isolation of amyloid fibrils. TMGBF4 disrupts hydrogen‐bonded β‐sheet networks to solubilize amyloid aggregates, whereas C12ImCl interacts with hydrophobic regions of non‐amyloid proteins.

Performance of three-photon PET imaging: Monte Carlo simulations

open access: yes, 2005
We have recently introduced the idea of making use of three-photon positron annihilations in positron emission tomography. In this paper the basic characteristics of the three-gamma imaging in PET are studied by means of Monte Carlo simulations and ...

Tracking of [14C]Polystyrene Nanoplastics in Pregnant Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates [14C]polystyrene nanoplastic ([14C]PS) translocation in late‐stage pregnant mice after intranasal (0.5 mg of [14C]PS on GD12, GD14, and GD16, n = 6) and intravenous administration (1.5 mg of [14C]PS on GD16, n = 6). 14C‐radiolabel allows quantitative tracking of unmodified polystyrene nanoplastics.

Molecularly Engineered Phenoxazinone‐Skeleton Cascade‐Activated NIR Probes for Monitoring Fe2+/Viscosity in Ferroptosis‐Mediated Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A series of Fe2+/viscosity cascade‐activated NIR fluorescence probes (NP1–5) are synthesized, and NP3 is selected for its optimal properties. To verify application of NP3 in ferroptosis intervention in PD, PQR NPs, is constructed by NP3 and quercetin self‐assembling.
