An activity‐dependent pathway links prefrontal circuit hypoactivity to cognitive impairment. Reduced PVA–mPFC activity upregulates NEPAS, which suppresses PTX3 secretion, leading to impaired angiogenesis, myelin deficits, and memory decline. Rescue is achieved by NEPAS knockdown or chemogenetic circuit activation.

ALKBH3 m1A Demethylase Deficiency Reduces Alzheimer's Amyloid‐β Pathology
This study identifies that ALKBH3‐driven m1A demethylation orchestrates Alzheimer's disease progression by disrupting mitochondrial and synaptic homeostasis. This epitranscriptomic mechanism suppresses PINK1‐mediated mitophagy via m1A erasure, leading to mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, elevated Aβ production, and impaired microglial ...

Neuroplasticity and post-stroke cognitive impairment (therapeutic possibilities)
В статье представлена частота встречаемости, факторы риска, патогенетические механизмы развития когнитивных нарушений у пациентов, которые перенесли мозговой инсульт. Показана роль нейротрофических факторов в формировании когнитивного дефицита у постинсультных больных.

Models and mechanisms of post-stroke dementia and cognitive impairment
Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability globally, with significant long-term impacts such as post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI). PSCI affects up to one-third of stroke survivors, substantially increasing their risk of dementia, especially ...

Alzheimer's Disease Risk Factor APOE4 Exerts Dimorphic Effects on Female Bone
In aging bone, osteocytes accumulate neurodegenerative risk factor Apolipoprotein E (APOE). A humanized version of the Alzheimer's disease risk allele APOE4 altered the mouse bone transcriptome and proteome, with effects in female bone surpassing the brain, including bone fragility due to suppressed osteocytic maintenance of bone quality, identifying ...
