Large Language Model‐Informed Dual‐Track AI Framework for the Synergistic Design of Crack‐Free and High‐Strength Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This paper illustrates a knowledge‐augmented dual‐track AI framework for advanced superalloy design. First, Large Language Models translate metallurgical heuristics into explicit rules to rapidly prune a vast compositional search space. Subsequently, LLM‐distilled priors safely guide a reinforcement learning agent during autonomous process optimization,

Influence of welding parameters and post weld heat treatment on mechanical, microstructures and corrosion behaviour of friction stir welded aluminium alloys

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
A study on how corrosion and mechanical characteristics of friction stir welded joints are affected by processing parameters employed during the welding and the post-weld heat treatment administered on the welded materials has been reported in this paper.

Boosting Ferroelectricity: 2D and Polymer Ferroelectric Hybrids Enabling Ambipolar Nonvolatile MoS2 Memory Transistor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Two‐dimensional CuInP2S6 nanosheets are incorporated into a P(VDF‐TrFE) matrix to induce polarization‐cooperative ferroelectric coupling. The resulting P(VDF‐TrFE)/CuInP2S6 hybrid film exhibits reinforced ferroelectric ordering and reduced coercive electric fields compared with pristine P(VDF‐TrFE).

Safety of Sodium‐Ion Batteries: Evaluation and Perspective from Component Materials to Cells, Modules, and Packs

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review provides a bottom‐up evaluation of sodium‐ion battery safety, linking material degradation mechanisms, cell engineering parameters, and module/pack assembly. It emphasizes that understanding intrinsic material stability and establishing coordinated engineering control across hierarchical levels are vital for preventing degradation coupling ...

The effect of post weld heat treatment on the corrosion behaviour of a AA2050T34-FSW

open access: yes, 2010
The corrosion behaviour of a AA2050T34-FSW was examined as a function of post weld heat treatment condition. Immersion tests in 0.1 M Nac1 and G110 intergranular tests were performed and the corrsion morphology and the depth of attacks in the different ...

Effect of friction stir lap weld and post weld heat treatment on corrosion behavior of dissimilar aluminum alloys

open access: yes, 2017
This study has been undertaken to evaluate the electrochemical behavior of friction stir lap welded V-95CHT1 and D19CHT plates and to study the effect of post weld heat treatment on the corrosion characteristics of the welded alloys.

Upscaling Sodium‐Ion Battery Cells: From Aqueous Processing to Performance Assessment of Hard Carbon|Prussian White Pouch Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the feasibility of scaling up Prussian White (PW)‐based cathode manufacturing at a pilot scale. Through careful PW dehydration combined with optimized aqueous processing, we report the stepwise development of industrially relevant 1 Ah pouch cells and evaluate their performance under various conditions.

Pre‐Curved Everting Robots With Embedded Steering Intelligence Fabricated by CO2 Laser Welding

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Design and experimental demonstration of a laser welded growing robot for anatomically guided navigation. The robot follows an aortic arch phantom entering the branchiocephalic branch through steering by design. The figure shows the physical phantom setup, CAD defined weld geometry and full robot eversion.

From Material Tensions to Organizational Paradoxes: How Manufacturers Cope With the Limits of Circular Product Design

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Circular product design (CPD) is central to advancing the circular economy by enabling the narrowing, slowing, and closing of resource flows. Yet, its implementation remains persistently challenging for firms. Prior research has largely framed these challenges as discrete barriers, overlooking the structural contradictions embedded in CPD ...
