Acquisition of Post-Depositional Effects on Stable Isotopes (δ18O and δD) of Snow and Firn at Dome A, East Antarctica [PDF]

open access: yesWater (Switzerland), 2020
Water stable isotopes (δ18O and δD) in Antarctic snow pits and ice cores are extensively applied in paleoclimate reconstruction. However, their interpretation varies over some climate change processes that can alter isotope signals after ...

ANALCIME CRYSTALLIZATION AND COMPOSITIONAL PROFILES-COMPARING APPROACHES TO DETECT POST-DEPOSITIONAL ALTERATIONS IN ARCHAEOLOGICAL POTTERY* [PDF]

open access: yesArchaeometry, 2006
The approaches of comparative studies and profile measurements, often used in order to detect post-depositional alterations of ceramics, have been applied simultaneously to two sets of Roman pottery, both of which include altered individuals.

Why are geomagnetic excursions not always recorded in sediments? Constraints from post-depositional remanent magnetization lock-in modelling [PDF]

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Science Letters, 2004
Many geomagnetic excursions have been documented during the Brunhes Chron. However, high-resolution paleomagnetic studies of sediments often provide evidence of few (if any) excursions.

Laser post processing of deposited graphene patterns

ICALEO 2014: 33nd International Congress on Laser Materials Processing, Laser Microprocessing and Nanomanufacturing, 2014
A wide potential application range of graphene from super capacitors and transparent conductors to antennas, has made it a prominent competitor over traditional metallic elements and carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Ink-based printing processes are of the most favorable fabrication processes for printed electronics.

Post-depositional remanent magnetization lock-in depth in precisely dated varved sediments assessed by archaeomagnetic field models [PDF]

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Science Letters, 2015
Accurate and precise chronologies are needed to evaluate the existence and effect of a post-depositional remanent magnetization lock-in process on sedimentary palaeomagnetic records. Here we present lock-in modelling results of two palaeomagnetic records

Post processing of microstructures by PDMS spray deposition

Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2009
Abstract A method of depositing polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) onto microfabricated surfaces by spray coating is presented. Low-viscosity PDMS combinations suitable for spraying are developed by mixing Dow Corning Sylgard 184 with 200 Fluid 20 cSt, and also by dilution with hexane.

Post-deposition high temperature processing of silicon nitride

Thin Solid Films, 1983
Abstract Hydrogen, which is normally incorporated in silicon nitride in the form of Si-H and N-H bonds, is lost by trap-limited diffusion during high temperature post-deposition processing. Hydrogen loss occurs from films prepared by both atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition and low pressure chemical vapor deposition, and such loss appears ...
