Evaluation of various protein sources for Penaeus monodon postlarvae

open access: yes, 1979
Contribution No. 53, Aquaculture Department, SEAFDEC.Penaeus monodon postlarvae with an average weight of 15.61 mg each were fed fresh brown mussel meat and artificial diets containing casein, shrimp meal, squid meal and Spirulina as protein sources at a

Detection of Bacteria and Fungi Associated with Penaeus monodon Postlarvae Mortality.

open access: yes
Diseases on shrimp postlarvae caused by bacterial and fungal still remain an important concern due to their economic values. Application of microalgae as natural feed has brought promising results for growth of shrimp postlarvae.

Survival of Penaeus monodon postlarvae and juveniles at different salinity and temperature levels.

open access: yes, 1998
Penaeus monodon postlarvae (PL1, PL5, PL10, and PL15) and juveniles (0.2 and 2 g mean weights) were acclimated gradually within 6 h to test temperatures of 22°, 28°, and 33°C.

Toxicity of metal mixtures to the Pacific white shrimp postlarvae

open access: yes, 2009
According to the literature, the safe level of a toxic substance for any given organism may be calculated from its median lethal concentration multiplied by a suitable application factor (AF: usually 0.1 and 0.01). The medial lethal concentrations for postlarvae exposed to the mixtures in equitoxic proportions of Cd-Hg, Hg-Zn and Hg-Pb were close to ...

Pathogen introduced to Peru by trade in postlarvae of Litopenaeus vannamei

open access: yes, 2012

Preliminary studies on growth and survival of Penaeus japonicus postlarvae fed with Tapes philippinarum and commercial formula feed.

open access: yes, 1978
The postlarvae were maintained in 5-l round plastic aquaria and provided with aeration for a 28-day feeding period. Highest survival rate of 100% was obtained when the postlarvae were fed with Diet-B.
