Phonon dispersion relations for potassium thiocyanate
Solid State Communications, 1987Abstract Measurements of some low frequency phonon dispersion curves in potassium thiocyanate have been made using inelastic neutron scattering techniques. The measured phonon frequencies are presented along with ones calculated from a simple model comprising axially-symmetric force constants between nearest neighbour atoms. The applicability of such

POTASSIUM THIOCYANATE IN THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH HYPERTENSION
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1930The increasing use of the sphygmomanometer in physical examinations has shown that elevation of the blood pressure is a common finding, especially in persons past middle age. Consequently, large numbers of patients with hypertension are seen by every medical practitioner; and since it has been estimated 1 that approximately 140,000 persons in the ...

Polarized Infrared Spectrum of Potassium Thiocyanate
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1958The polarized infrared spectrum of crystalline potassium thiocyanate is reported in this paper. This additional information necessitates certain assignment changes in the observed vibrational frequencies from those previously reported. The vibrational spectrum now appears quite complete and in agreement with the crystal structure report of Klug.
