RNA structural profiling of Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus by DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM analyses uncover that viral genome‐wide RSS is highly complicated and heterogeneous, with alternative RSSs widely distributed across the genome. Notably, the viral 3’ tRNA‐like structure adopts alternative conformations in vivo.

Abstract figure legend The genetic inactivation of one Mcu allele leads to sex‐specific changes in neuronal function in adult mice, that is, the firing of action potentials and the relationship between cytosolic and mitochondrial Ca2+ levels. The ability to produce NAD(P)H by stimulated neural tissue is largely preserved in male mice but delayed in ...

Detection of Potato mop top virus (Furovirus) on potato in southeast Idaho
In February 2012, commercially produced potato (Solanum tuberosum) tubers, cv. Modoc, grown in southeast Idaho, were observed with internal necrotic arcs and lines. Samples were obtained from potatoes that had been washed and packaged. No external symptoms were evident.

Potato Mop-Top Virus Co-Opts the Stress Sensor HIPP26 for Long-Distance Movement [PDF]
Virus movement proteins facilitate virus entry into the vascular system to initiate systemic infection. The potato mop-top virus (PMTV) movement protein, TGB1, is involved in long-distance movement of both viral ribonucleoprotein complexes and virions ...

In a case series from a hospital in North India, A. nidulans strains isolated from patients with pulmonary aspergillosis were phenotypically identified and then underwent molecular characterization through sequencing of the amplified ITS1‐5.8S rDNA‐ITS2 region and antifungal susceptibility testing (AST) according to the CLSI M38A3 guidelines.

Lung Microbiome Diversity, Infection Dynamics, and Microbe‐Mediated Cross‐Protection
The protective role of the lung microbiome in maintaining respiratory health by promoting immune homeostasis, pathogen exclusion, and barrier integrity. Diverse microbial communities regulate immune maturation, enhance epithelial defenses, and contribute to antiviral responses, collectively preventing pathogen colonization and sustaining a balanced ...

Summary Plant resistance influences the host range of pathogens; however, the mechanism driving this influence remains poorly understood. Brassicaceae species are not natural hosts of potexviruses, for reasons that have not yet been determined. This study investigated the molecular basis of nonhost resistance (NHR) to potexviruses in the Brassicaceae ...

Using feral pigeons in urban environments, we show that microbiome diversity and composition vary seasonally despite stable diet composition. ABSTRACT Gut microbiomes play a crucial role in host physiology and seasonal adaptation. While seasonal shifts in avian gut microbiota are often attributed to seasonal diet variation, environmental factors may be
