Thermal Plasticity is Regulated by a Key MicroRNA During Range Expansion of an Invasive Fruit Fly
Populations at the invasion front of Bactrocera dorsalis adapt through reduced phenotypic and gene expression plasticity, a phenomenon likely to be driven by genetic assimilation. We identify a key miRNA‐mediated regulatory axis, in which miR‐276b post‐transcriptionally represses thw, a conserved chitin‐binding gene critical to the cold‐tolerance ...

Calcium Shock Enables Efficient and Programmable Particle Delivery for Genome Editing Applications
Classical transfection and transduction are inefficient, particularly with confluent cells and organoids, and lack cell type‐specific programmability. This study presents calcium shock (CaSh), a method that dramatically improves particle delivery into single cells, colonies, and organoids.

EFFECTIVENESS OF POTATO GROWING VARIETY

A new class of biohybrid spheroids is engineered through the self‐assembly of adherent cells and extracellular matrix‐mimetic hydrogel microparticles (microgels). By mimicking a snowballing effect, this approach enables scalable formation of porous, millimeter‐scale spheroids with enhanced cell viability and molecular diffusion.

It has been demonstrated that, in the bone extracellular matrix (ECM), integrins and growth factor receptors (GFRs) engage in synergistic signaling to guide bone healing and regeneration. This review provides a comprehensive overview of current strategies using ECM‐derived peptides to recreate the cellular microenvironment and harness synergistic ...

Green Breeding: Bioimpuls Programme 2009-2013 - Perspectives on Phytophthora-resistant potato varieties [PDF]
The heavy outbreaks of Phytophthora in 2007, and again in 2012, reconfirmed the need for resistant potato varieties for the organic sector. Until recently no such varieties were available. In 2009 the Bioimpulsprogramme was launched to give more priority

Targeting Lactate and Lactylation in Cancer Metabolism and Immunotherapy
Lactate, once deemed a metabolic waste, emerges as a central regulator of cancer progression. This review elucidates how lactate and its epigenetic derivative, protein lactylation, orchestrate tumor metabolism, immune suppression, and therapeutic resistance.

Preservation of old potato varieties
What are old potato varieties? A potato variety may be defined as a group of identical plants, sharing the distinctive characters of an original individual from whom they are derived by vegetative reproduction. A potato variety is considered distinct when it differs from all other known varieties by one or more recognizable characters whether they be ...
