Potentiometric membrane sensors for polyvinylpyrrolidone determination

Talanta, 2009
Potentiometric sensors were developed for determining the concentration of the physiologically active polymer polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) with the use of its adduct with triphenylmethane and azodyes as electrode-active substances in plasticized membranes.

Paper-Based Ion-Selective Potentiometric Sensors

Analytical Chemistry, 2012
A new approach to develop ultra low-cost, robust, rugged, and disposable potentiometric sensors is presented. A suspension of carbon nanotubes in a water-surfactant mixture (carbon nanotubes ink) is applied on conventional filter papers to turn them into conductive papers, which are then used as a substrate to build ion-selective electrodes.

Combined amperometric-potentiometric oxygen sensor

Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2020
Abstract The present investigation describes the results of the performance and the assessment of a combined electrochemical oxygen sensor, equipped with a diffusion barrier and consisted of an electrochemical cell-pump and a potentiometric cell. Both cells of the oxygen sensor are based on the same solid electrolyte, having 0.91ZrO2 + 0.09 Y2O3 ...

Potentiometric Glucose Sensor: Enzymatic Activity and Potentiometric Measurements

1982
The development of a sensor to continuously monitor in vivo glucose levels, without the need to remove samples, is at present a major area of diabetes research. In vitro studies in our laboratory, have shown that changes in glucose concentrations can be measured potentiometrically by using either glucose oxidase (GOD) (1) or GOD/catalase (2) enzyme ...

Sol−Gel Derived Potentiometric pH Sensors

Analytical Chemistry, 2004
A potentiometric sol-gel derived (xerogel) pH sensor based on covalently attached amine groups is described. The sensor consists of a Ag/AgCl electrode coated with a hybrid aminosilane/alkylsilane xerogel film. Various combinations of aminosilanes and alkylsilanes are evaluated for their potentiometric response to pH.

New potentiometric gas-gap sensor

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1999
Abstract A new gas-gap sensor for the determination of ammonia on the base of a pH-metric electrode is described. It has been established that the equality of the ionic strength and temperature of the sample and the electrode solution is no longer necessary.

Potentiometric Sensor for Benzylpenicillin Determination

Pharmaceutical Chemistry Journal, 2019
A potentiometric benzylpenicillin-sensitive sensor with a plasticized polyvinyl-chloride membrane was developed. The sensor contains a benzylpenicillin—rhodamine 6G ion pair. The response is linear for benzylpenicillin concentrations in the range 10–3 – 10–1M with an electrode-function slope characteristic of singly charged anions and a minimum ...

Solid state differential potentiometric sensors

Sensors and Actuators, 1982
Differential potentiometric sensors containing two chemically ‘orthogonal’ ion-selective membranes have been constructed and tested. The all-solid-state construction was made possible by the use of reversible solid membrane contacts, such as a newly developed AgAgFz.sbnd;LaF3 contact for use with LaF3 membranes.

Cyclodextrin-based dextromethorphan potentiometric sensors

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry, 2011
Abstract The construction and performance characteristics of different dextromethorphan (DXM) potentiometric sensors are described. Three types of electrodes are demonstrated, namely silver coated wire electrode (CWE), coated graphite electrode (CGE) and the conventional PVC membrane electrodes (CE).
