Uses of nitrate ion sensitive electrodes
Some models of ion-selective electrodes (ISE) and other methods have been elaborated, to quantify nitrate levels in environmental samples (water, fruits, vegetables and others), using direct ...

Electrochemical analysis of antioxidant status of biological media in different sampling and storage conditions [PDF]
The use of an electrochemical approach for assessment of the oxidative stress severity is a promising direction for point-of-care testing development, which is especially important for critically ill patients.

Zinc anode performance is maximized within an optimal deposition‐kinetic window. Additives that tune the deposition exchange current density (i0,Dep) suppress HER at intermediate values, but overly fast kinetics promote dendrites and overly slow kinetics accelerate corrosion/HER.

Modified planar sensors for the separate detection of certain cephalosporin antibiotics [PDF]
Modifi ed screen-printed potentiometric sensors sensitive to cephalosporin antibiotics – cefuroxime (Cefur), cefotaxime (Ceftx), cefazolin (Cef) have been developed. Tetradecylammonium associates with complex compounds silver (I) – cefuroxime

Nanoscale electron transport at the surface of a topological insulator
Topological insulators offer lossless surface transport because of the suppression of conduction-electron backscattering from defect sites. Here, the authors show that the nanoscale voltage drops caused by such scattering can be directly measured using ...

From Waste to Value: Conversion of Calcium Sulfate to Vaterite via Carbon Capture and Storage
This study introduces a new concept for carbon management that relies on the carbonation of industrial gypsum waste and yields phase‐pure vaterite at ambient conditions without any additives. The obtained vaterite is further shown to be a reactive material that develops compressive strength in aqueous suspensions like conventional cements.
