From individuals to networks: The role of variation in plant–pollinator communities' responses to global change

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.
This paper argues that variation among individuals—not just species differences—can shape the sensitivity, robustness and resilience of plant–pollinator communities under global change. By linking individual traits and interaction structure to network dynamics, it provides a new framework and future research directions for predicting community ...

Extrapulmonary tuberculosis in ten hemodialysis patients: a single center experience

open access: yesMedicine Science, 2016
Tuberculosis (TB) infection is increasing all over the world especially among immunocompromised patients including end stage renal disease (ESRD) patients. Symptoms and signs are non-spesific and involvement is generally extra-pulmonary in ESRD patients.

Challenges and controversies in the treatment of spinal tuberculosis

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Tuberculosis and Other Mycobacterial Diseases, 2020
Current guidelines regarding management of spinal TB are mostly extrapolated from trials on pulmonary disease. Since the British Medical Research Council (BMRC) trials in the 1970s, there are not many good quality studies that substantiate best practice ...

The dual crisis: Climate change simultaneously drives pollinator decline and Pest outbreaks

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, EarlyView.
Climate change acts as an asymmetric ecological filter, favouring r‐selected pest traits (rapid reproduction, generalism) while disadvantaging K‐selected pollinators. For every 1°C of warming, bee species richness declines ~25% since the 1990s, while pest‐induced crop losses increase by 10%–25%. A network‐centric approach integrating climate‐responsive

Beliefs related to diagnosing borderline personality disorder and complex post‐traumatic stress disorder

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives There has been speculation that Borderline personality disorder (BPD) and Complex post‐traumatic stress disorder (cPTSD) are the same disorder or represent separate disorders on a broader trauma spectrum. BPD and cPTSD share several symptoms but differ in their presentation.

Metabarcoding of Pollen Carried by Syrphids Reveals Novel Plant–Pollinator Interactions in a Protected Natural Area and Agricultural Sites

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.
Using DNA metabarcoding, this study investigates pollen transported by syrphids (Syrphidae) in the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park and agricultural sites in Northern Italy. The analysis reveals a high diversity of visited plant taxa, including previously undocumented plant–pollinator interactions.

Non-Hodgkin′s lymphoma "masquerading" as Pott′s disease in a 13-year old boy

open access: yesIndian Journal of Medical and Paediatric Oncology, 2011
Lymphomas are malignant neoplasms of the lymphoid lineage. They are broadly classified as either Hodgkin disease or as non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Burkitt′s lymphoma, a variety of NHL, is significantly most common in sub-Saharan Africa, where it accounts
