A Neuromorphic Simulation Framework for Indium‐Gallium‐Zinc‐Oxide Charge‐Trap Synaptic Transistors: From Device Modeling to System Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work presents a comprehensive framework bridging device fabrication, modeling, and system‐level simulation for an indium‐gallium‐zinc‐oxide (IGZO) charge‐trap synaptic transistor‐based neuromorphic system. By developing a precise SPICE model derived from fabricated IGZO synaptic transistors, the study incorporates parasitic RC loads into array ...

Dietary glucuronolactone alleviates hepatic lipid accumulation via the enterohepatic axis in laying hens

open access: yesJournal of Animal Science and Biotechnology
Background For laying hens in the late stage of peak production, dysregulated liver lipids are one of the leading causes of declining egg production. Glucuronolactone (D-Glu) is used as a functional beverage additive in human food products and has been ...

Causal analysis of trade loss from pathogens: A global study of foot and mouth disease impacts on meat exports

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Our general interest is in global trade loss from livestock pathogens, specifically exports. We adopt a causal inference approach that considers animal disease outbreaks over time as non‐staggered binary treatments with the potential for switching in (infection) and out of treatment (recovery) within the sample period. The outcome evolution of

The Herfindahl neutral point: A firm‐level threshold for managing market concentration with evidence from US hog packing

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper derives a firm‐level threshold, the Herfindahl Neutral Point, from the standard concentration index used in merger review. At this threshold, a marginal expansion leaves the index unchanged. Firms below the threshold reduce concentration when they expand; firms above it increase concentration.

The Legislation for Providing Animal Access in Australian Residential Aged Care: It's Not a Zoo

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Providing meaningful animal contact to residential aged care facility (RACF) residents is problematic due to a lack of animal policies and National Guidelines. This paper examines how Australian Legislation could influence access to animal contact in RACFs and aims to answer the question, ‘Could current Legislation facilitate the development ...

Exploration of a novel indicator for duck egg quality (yolk weight-to-albumen height ratio): Its impact on egg quality and serum parameters, and correlation analysis

open access: yesPoultry Science
This study introduced a novel indicator of duck egg quality - the yolk weight to albumen height ratio (YAR) - and investigated its relationships with egg quality traits, serum biochemical indices, and antioxidant parameters.
