Assessing the robustness of powder rheology and permeability measurements
Abstract Powder metallurgy processes rely on powder flowability. However, flowability is not an intrinsic property and depends on the measurement conditions. Standards have been developed to adjust measurement methods to various flow conditions but there is presently questions whether current methods are adapted to the specific requirements of powder

Experimental investigation of cohesive powder rheology
An annular shear cell-type cohesive powder rheometer has been fabricated, which measures the shear and normal stress states over a range of shear rate and powder concentration. The rheological behavior of a 30-μm spherical silica powder and a 40-μm industrial polymer powder have been experimentally investigated for powder flow in the frictional regime.

Powder rheology and characterization of new and zinc recycled WC-6wt%Co powders
Four industrially manufactured WC-6wt%Co powders were studied in terms of bulk properties, morphology and powder rheology. Two powders, comprising 100 % fresh raw material, a 100 % zinc recycled powder and a powder comprising 60 wt% zinc recycled and 40 wt% new material, were investigated.
