Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Root Infection and Minituber Yield Response to Powdery Scab in Plant Growth Chamber Conditions
Powdery scab, caused by the soilborne plasmodiophorid Spongospora subterranea f. sp. subterranea (Sss), is an increasing concern. Developing potato varieties with enduring resistance is crucial for sustainable disease management.

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Resistance Breeding in Apple at Dresden-Pillnitz [PDF]
Resistance breeding in apple has a long tradition at the Institute of Fruit Breeding now Julius Kuehn-institute in Dresden-Pillnitz. The breeding was aimed at the production of multiple resistance cultivars to allow a more sustainable and environmentally

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Powdery scab resistance in Solanum tuberosum : an assessment of cultivar × environment effect [PDF]
Powdery scab of potato caused by Spongospora subterranea is one of the main disease problems in many potato production regions of the world. However, no efficient and economically sound control method is currently available. Host resistance will be a key component of the integrated management

Potato mop-top virus and its protist vector, Spongospora subterranea, cause internal and external damage to potato tubers that make them unmarketable. Currently, there are no effective control methods to eliminate these soilborne and seedborne pathogens,

The presented study focuses on the fracture behaviour of carbon‐bonded magnesia MgO–C refractories, where environmentally friendly fructose, collagen and lignin serve as temporary binding agents. The partial substitution of the source material with recycled MgO–C reduces the fracture resistance, which can be counteracted by the additional introduction ...
