PowerNet: Learning-Based Real-Time Power-Budget Rendering
IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, 2022With the prevalence of embedded GPUs on mobile devices, power-efficient rendering has become a widespread concern for graphics applications. Reducing the power consumption of rendering applications is critical for extending battery life. In this paper, we present a new real-time power-budget rendering system to meet this need by selecting the optimal ...

Investigating the Power Budget of a 3U Nanosatellite Designed for Earth Observation
IEEE International Workshop on Metrology for AeroSpace, 2023The Electrical Power System (EPS) is one of the most critical subsystems of a nanosatellite. Thus, its design should be done carefully for a successful mission. To verify that the power needs of its subsystems does not exceed the power available, a power

200Gb/s Bi-Directional TDM-PON with 29-dB Power Budget
European Conference on Optical Communication, 2021We demonstrate the first 200-Gb/s (100-GBaud PAM-4) TDM-PON using directly modulated lasers and direct detection. We achieve >29-dB link power budget by combining distributed Raman amplification over 21-km fiber and an SOA-based pre-amplifier.

In this paper we present and evaluate a new technique to lower packet-level error rates of application layer connections in wireless ad-hoc networks. In our scheme, data packets submitted at a connection's source are checksummed and replicated, flowing breadth-first across an overlay network towards the destination.

We experimentally demonstrate 112-Gb/s/λ PAM-4 transmission based on 25-Gb/s optics. Over 31-dB power budget is achieved by using OLT-side pre-equalization, amplification and only simple FFE in ONU.

SULFUR BUDGET OF A POWER PLANT PLUME
Atmospheric Environment (1967), 1978As part of the Midwest Interstate Sulfur Transformation and Transport (MISTT) study, the summer sulfur budget of the plume of the 2400 MW coal-fired Labadie power plant near St. Louis, Missouri is assessed via aircraft data, ground monitoring network data and a two-box model.
