Demonstration of Bidirectional Real-Time 100 Gb/s (4×25 Gb/s) Coherent UDWDM-PON with Power Budget of 44 dB

Optical Fiber Communications Conference and Exhibition, 2019
We experimentally demonstrate the real-time of 4×25-Gb/s coherent UDWDM-PON at 12.5-GHz spacing over 50-km standard single mode optical fiber. The downlink power budget can be more than 44 dB, and support more than 1000 subscribers.

Government budgeting, power and negotiated order

Management Accounting Research, 2011
Abstract This paper addresses a relatively neglected phenomenon in government budget setting – the processes by which budgets are agreed in governments where power is shared (coalitions) or attenuated (minority). These forms of government have been a matter of serious study by political scientists, but not by accountants.

Power budget improvement of multi-IFoF based analog indoor-distributed antenna system (DAS) with laser over-modulation

Optics Communications, 2019
We demonstrate the improvement of the optical power budget in multi-intermediate frequency over fiber (IFoF) based indoor-distributed antenna system (DAS) with 48 IF carriers of LTE-A signal using laser over-modulation.

Single-Wavelength 100-Gb/s PAM-4 TDM-PON Achieving Over 32-dB Power Budget Using Simplified and Phase Insensitive Coherent Detection

European Conference on Optical Communication, 2018
We experimentally demonstrate the first single-wavelength 100-Gb/s PAM-4 TDM-PON transmission in C-band using simplified and phase-insensitive heterodyne coherent detection. Power budget of over 32 dB is achieved after 20-/40-km fiber transmission.

Channel Probing under a Power Budget

2006 40th Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems, 2006
Consider a multi-channel system between a transmitter and receiver where each channel undergoes independent block fading. At the beginning of each fading block, a certain number of slots are used for sending probing signals (training period) allowing the receiver to learn some information about the fading gains.

Power and Positionality in Participatory Budgeting

American Behavioral Scientist, 2022
There have been few analyses that discuss how power relations present in participatory budgeting (PB) may hinder or facilitate the future of PB. Drawing from PB examples in the United States we discuss the importance of power and positionality analyses during PB stages with the most deliberative participation for community members: forming steering ...

Power Budgeting Techniques for Data Centers

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 2015
The development of cloud computing and data science result in rapid increases of number and scale of data centers. Because of cost and sustainability concerns, energy efficiency has been a major goal for data center architects. Focusing on reducing the cooling power and making full use of available computing power, power budgeting is an increasingly ...

The power budget

2011
When reconsidering our behavior in a conflict situation, we take into account all the parallel conflicts we face in various arenas. This reconsideration allows us to safeguard and maximize our gains from the full range of our relationships, rather than from a single field.

Power squeeze [Portable system energy budget]

Electronics Systems and Software, 2007
Careful thought is needed to design portable systems that have a strong mixed-signal component. The need to power a system purely from batteries puts severe constraints on the design in terms of energy consumption. We are seeing more portable systems appear, particularly in the medical, industrial and consumer markets. Cost and size considerations mean
