Power-Efficiency-Dissipation Relations in Linear Thermodynamics [PDF]
We derive general relations between maximum power, maximum efficiency, and minimum dissipation regimes from linear irreversible thermodynamics. The relations simplify further in the presence of a particular symmetry of the Onsager matrix, which can be derived from detailed balance. The results are illustrated on a periodically driven system and a three

Energy dissipation device based on half-bridge sub-modules
When the onshore accurate current (AC) grid connected to the offshore wind power voltage source converter-based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) transmission system fails, the surplus power continuously output by the wind farm causes DC overvoltage.

Dynamic Equalizer Power Dissipation Optimization [PDF]
We investigate power dissipation/performance trade-off in a 28nm ASIC implementation of a parallel dynamic equalizer. Over 50% dissipation improvement is possible by sample pruning during filter updates, with only minor tracking-performance reduction.

Light-Powered Dissipative Assembly of Diazocine Coordination Cages [PDF]
Stimuli-responsive coordination cages allow reversible control over guest binding and release, relevant for adaptive receptors, carriers, catalysts, and complex systems. Light serves as an advantageous stimulus, as it can be applied with precise spatial and temporal resolution without producing chemical waste products.
