Difference analysis of dissolved gas in natural ester insulating fluids under typical electrical and thermal faults: An experimental study

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2023
Natural ester insulating oil is widely used in transformers due to its good fire resistance and biodegradability. It is mainly composed of triglycerides, and there are some differences in fatty acid composition and content among natural esters. Therefore,

A Real-Time Digital Twin and Neural Net Cluster-Based Framework for Faults Identification in Power Converters of Microgrids, Self Organized Map Neural Network

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
In developing distribution networks, the deployment of alternative generation sources is heavily motivated by the growing energy demand, as by environmental and political motives.

Power control strategies during voltage sags according to Spanish grid code [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In order to connect any power converters into the grid there are some grid requirements to insure the safe operation of the grid. So, the control of the converters especially during abnormal condition e.g. during voltage sags is

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A Fault Detection Method for Photovoltaic Systems Based on Voltage and Current Observation and Evaluation

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems work chronically in various climatic outdoor conditions, therefore, faults may occur within the PV arrays in PV systems.

Assessing the reliability of adaptive power system protection schemes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Adaptive power system protection can be used to improve the performance of existing protection schemes under certain network conditions. However, their deployment in the field is impeded by their perceived inferior reliability compared to existing ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...
