Gate-sizing-based single Vdd test for bridge defects in multi-voltage designs

open access: yes, 2010
The use of multiple voltage settings for dynamic power management is an effective design technique. Recent research has shown that testing for resistive bridging faults in such designs requires more than one voltage setting for 100% fault coverage ...

Influence of operational variables in a hydrodynamic bearing on the generation of acoustic emission [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Detecting mechanical faults of rotating machines particularly in hydrodynamic bearings has been recognised as important for preventing sudden shut downs.

Difference analysis of dissolved gas in natural ester insulating fluids under typical electrical and thermal faults: An experimental study

open access: yesHigh Voltage, 2023
Natural ester insulating oil is widely used in transformers due to its good fire resistance and biodegradability. It is mainly composed of triglycerides, and there are some differences in fatty acid composition and content among natural esters. Therefore,

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

A risk uncertainty–based flexible dispatch method for pumped storage under extreme weather

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation
The large‐scale integration of renewable energy into new power systems presents significant challenges in terms of controllability and predictability due to its inherent randomness and volatility. The uncontrollability is further compounded by the sudden

A Fault Detection Method for Photovoltaic Systems Based on Voltage and Current Observation and Evaluation

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems work chronically in various climatic outdoor conditions, therefore, faults may occur within the PV arrays in PV systems.

Features of fault transient's in generator network of powerful electric power stations

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Проблемы энергетики, 2021
THE PURPOSE. To consider the problems of generator circuit breaker. To consider the problems of high degree of asymmetry of short-circuit current and long delayed current zeros in detail. Propose methods for solving these problems. Develop the equivalent electrical circuit model of electric power station.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
