Multi‐stage stochastic wind‐thermal generation expansion planning with probabilistic reliability criteria

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2022
Due to the growing proportion of uncertain and fluctuating renewable energy sources in the power system, reasonable generation expansion considering the uncertainties is desperately needed.

Distribution Network Reconfiguration Considering Distributed Generation and Electric Vehicle Cluster Scheduling

open access: yesZhongguo dianli, 2023
Along with the connection of numerous flexible resources such as distributed generation and electric vehicles (EVs) to distribution networks, higher requirements are raised on system security and reliability. A distribution network reconfiguration method

Transition from Islanded to grid-connected mode of microgrids with voltage-based droop control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Microgrids are able to provide a coordinated integration of the increasing share of distributed generation (DG) units in the network. The primary control of the DG units is generally performed by droop-based control algorithms that avoid communication ...

Tumor and germline testing with next generation sequencing in epithelial ovarian cancer: a prospective paired comparison using an 18‐gene panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Genetic testing in epithelial ovarian cancer includes both germline and tumor‐testing. This approach often duplicates resources. The current prospective study assessed the feasibility of tumor‐first multigene testing by comparing tumor tissue with germline testing of peripheral blood using an 18‐gene NGS panel in 106 patients.

Regulatory Highlights – The Year 2016 In Review and Implications for 2017 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The Public Utility Commission of Texas (“PUCT” or “Commission”) started out last year much the same way that it is starting out this year—the key item on its agenda will be the sale of Oncor Electric Delivery, LLC out of the EFH bankruptcy—however this ...

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Intelligent and Optimized Microgrids for Future Supply Power from Renewable Energy Resources: A Review

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
Using renewable energy sources instead of fossil fuels is one of the best solutions to overcome greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. However, in designing clean power generation microgrids, the economic aspects of using renewable energy technologies should be

Reliability and maintainability assessment factors for reliable fault-tolerant systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
A long term goal of the NASA Langley Research Center is the development of a reliability assessment methodology of sufficient power to enable the credible comparison of the stochastic attributes of one ultrareliable system design against others.

Contingency-Constrained Unit Commitment with Post-Contingency Corrective Recourse

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the problem of minimizing costs in the generation unit commitment problem, a cornerstone in electric power system operations, while enforcing an N-k-e reliability criterion. This reliability criterion is a generalization of the well-known $N$-

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.
