Link budgets for backscatter radio and RFID systems using power-optimized waveforms

This paper presents forward and backscatter link budgets for systems that utilize power-optimized waveforms (POWs) for passive backscatter radio communication. It has been shown how POWs increase the forward link limit while reducing the backscatter link limit of these systems when compared to continuous wave (CW) excitation.

Joint Power Optimization of PTMP Coherent Architecture for Improving Link Budget in Downlink Transmission
