Glymphatic Dysfunction Reflects Post‐Concussion Symptoms: Changes Within 1 Month and After 3 Months

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) may alter glymphatic function; however, its progression and variability remain obscure. This study examined glymphatic function following mTBI within 1 month and after 3 months post‐injury to determine whether variations in glymphatic function are associated with post‐traumatic symptom severity ...

Power-efficient radio-over-fiber aided spatial modulation

open access: yes2023 IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC), 2023
Spatial modulation (SM) is a multiple-input multiple-output technique, that is capable of providing energy efficiency and spectral-efficiency trade-off. Here, we propose an optically-controlled SM by invoking the radio over fiber based processing, for demonstrating enhanced power-efficiency and flexibility, on the expense of insignificant performance ...

Whole‐Body Pattern of Muscle Degeneration and Progression in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize whole‐body intramuscular fat distribution pattern in patients with sarcoglycanopathies and explore correlations with disease severity, duration and age at onset. Methods Retrospective, cross‐sectional, multicentric study enrolling patients with variants in one of the four sarcoglycan genes who underwent whole‐body ...

Diffusion Spectrum Imaging Maps Early Axonal Loss and a Unique Progressive Signal in Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To delineate specific in vivo white matter pathology in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) using diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) and define its clinical relevance. Methods DSI was performed on 42 NIID patients and 38 matched controls.

Tunable Single-Longitudinal-Mode High-Power Fiber Laser

open access: yesInternational Journal of Optics, 2012
We report a novel CW tunable high-power single-longitudinal-mode fiber laser with a linewidth of ∼9 MHz. A tunable fiber Bragg grating provided wavelength selection over a 10 nm range. An all-fiber Fabry-Perot filter was used to increase the longitudinal

Formal Fibers of Prime Ideals in Polynomial Rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Let (R,m) be a Noetherian local domain of dimension n that is essentially finitely generated over a field and let R^ denote the m-adic completion of R.

Efficient single frequency fibre lasers using novel photosensitive Er/Yb optical fibres

open access: yes, 1997
Boron- and germanium-doped highly photosensitive cladding is used in a novel design to achieve photosensitive Er/Yb-doped fibers, permitting short, strong gratings (length ~1cm, reflectivity >99%) to be written without hydrogenation.

Development and Preliminary In Vivo Study of 3D‐Printed Bioactive Glass Scaffolds with Trabecular Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports the fabrication of trabecular bioactive glass scaffolds (composition “1d”: 46.1SiO2‐28.7CaO‐8.8MgO‐6.2P2O5‐5.7CaF2‐4.5Na2O wt%) through vat photopolymerization and the relevant results from mechanical testing and in vivo implantation procedures in rabbit femora, showing great promise for bone tissue engineering applications.

Computational Temporal Ghost Imaging Using Intensity-Only Detection Over a Single Optical Fiber

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
We propose a method of computational temporal ghost imaging over a single optical fiber using simple optical intensity detection instead of coherent detection.
