The problem of electromagnetic waves propagation in overhead transmission lines has apparently not been solved in a sound manner yet. While the problem does not have an exact analytical solution when considering the presence of the actual surface of the ...

On the algebraicity of generalized power series
Let K be an algebraically closed field of characteristic p. We exhibit a counterexample against a theorem asserted in one of our earlier papers, which claims to characterize the integral closure of K((t)) within the field of Hahn-Mal'cev-Neumann ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Numerical and Analytical Study of Processes Described by the Nonlinear Heat Equation [PDF]
The paper deals with one-dimensional boundary value problems for the nonlinear heat conduction (porous medium) equation in the case of a power law relationship between the heat conduction coefficient and temperature, the solution of which is a heat wave ...

This study addressed how a senior research thesis is perceived by undergraduate students. It assessed students' perception of research skills, epistemological beliefs, and career goals in Biochemistry (science) and BDC (science‐business) students. Completing a thesis improved confidence in research skills, resilience, scientific identity, closed gender‐

Maximum modulus of entire functions of two variables and arguments of coefficients of double power series [PDF]
Let $mathcal{L}$ be {the} class of positive continuousfunctions on $(-infty,+infty)$ and {let} $mathcal{L}_+^2$ be{the} class of positive continuous increa-sing with respect toeach variable functions $gamma$ in $mathbb{R}^2$ such that $gamma(r_1,r_2)o ...
