Evaluation of abrasive waterjet produced titan surfaces topography by spectral analysis techniques
Metalurgija, 2012 Experimental study of a titan grade 2 surface topography prepared by abrasive waterjet cutting is performed using methods of the spectral analysis. Topographic data are acquired by means of the optical profilometr MicroProf®FRT.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

Generating data with prescribed power spectral density
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2003 Data generation is straightforward if the parameters of a time series model define the prescribed spectral density or covariance function. Otherwise, a time series model has to be determined. An arbitrary prescribed spectral density will be approximated by a finite number of equidistant samples in the frequency domain.

In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
