UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Emerging insights into CC and CXC chemokines and their receptors in Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dual roles of CC and CXC chemokines in distinguishing active, latent, and subclinical tuberculosis were reviewed, along with an evaluation of their potential as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets to advance precision medicine in tuberculosis management. The graphical abstract was generated with AI assistance (Gemini 3.0).

Identification of Characteristic Frequency in Proteins using Power Spectral Density

open access: yes, 2020
technique for detection of characteristic frequency in proteins using power spectral density is described. The vast majority of proteins binds to other proteins at some time in their existence in order to perform various functions.

Evaluation of the depressive state of mobile technical systems operator subjected to electromagnetic noise radiation

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники, 2020
This paper presents the results of the work aimed at a study of the patterns of changes in the nonlinear electroencephalogram (EEG) parameters, including fractal dimension and self-similarity exponent, when the operator is irradiated with electromagnetic

Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.

Strong-Motion-Duration-Dependent Power Spectral Density Functions Compatible with Design Response Spectra

open access: yesGeotechnics
The development of a suitable set of input ground motions is crucial for dynamic time history analyses. The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requires that these motions generate response spectra closely matching the plant’s design spectrum ...

Diffusion Spectrum Imaging Maps Early Axonal Loss and a Unique Progressive Signal in Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To delineate specific in vivo white matter pathology in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) using diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) and define its clinical relevance. Methods DSI was performed on 42 NIID patients and 38 matched controls.

Automatic spectral density estimation for random fields on a lattice via bootstrap. [PDF]

open access: yes
We consider the nonparametric estimation of spectral densities for secondorder stationary random fields on a d-dimensional lattice. We discuss some drawbacks of standard methods and propose modified estimator classes with improved bias convergence rate ...

CX3CL1 in Early Detection of Alzheimer's Disease: Plasma Dynamics Across Age and Disease Stages

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Backgrounds Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by amyloid‐beta plaques, tau tangles, and neuroinflammation. C‐X3‐C motif chemokine ligand 1 (CX3CL1, also known as fractalkine), a neuroimmune chemokine implicated in AD pathogenesis, shows inconsistent alterations in plasma/serum across studies.
