PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

An optimisation method of whole‐process restoration decision‐making of power systems considering disturbance‐resisting ability of the restored network

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2023
Disturbance‐resisting ability (DRA) of the restored network needs to be considered when making a restoration scheme of power systems, to ensure system security and reduce secondary blackout risk.

Power System Restoration Planning Strategy Based on Optimal Energizing Time of Sectionalizing Islands

open access: yes, 2018
Common power system restoration planning strategy is based on a ‘build up’ approach, where a blackout system is sectionalized among several islands for parallel restoration prior to resynchronization.

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Analysis and Explanation of Resonant Phenomena Involving EHV Transformers during Power System Restoration Tests

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
This paper deals with the simulation and the experimental confirmation of electromagnetic events that could interfere with the successful formation of the restoration path during the power system restoration procedure.

Risks in the European Transmission System and a Novel Restoration Strategy for a Power System after a Major Blackout

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Many citizens of European countries may soon experience a long and extensive blackout. The lack of predictability in the output of renewable energy sources, aggravating the problem of consistently matching supply with demand on electric grids, along with

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Development of a Sequential Restoration Strategy Based on the Enhanced Dijkstra Algorithm for Korean Power Systems

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2016
When a blackout occurs, it is important to reduce the time for power system restoration to minimize damage. For fast restoration, it is important to reduce taking time for the selection of generators, transmission lines and transformers.
