Impact of wind power on the unit commitment, operating reserves and market design [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Paper presented at the 2011 IEEE Power and Energy Society General Meeting, San Diego, CA, 24-29 July 2011This article highlights and demonstrates the new requirements variable and partly unpredictable wind power will bring to unit commitment and power ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Quantitative Resilience Assessment under a Tri-Stage Framework for Power Systems

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
The frequent occurrence of natural disasters and malicious attacks has exerted unprecedented disturbances on power systems, accounting for the extensive attention paid to power system resilience.

A wide area monitoring system based load restoration method

open access: yes, 2013
Restoring a large-scale power system has always been a complicated and important issue. A lot of research work has been done on different aspects of the whole power system restoration procedure.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Development of a Sequential Restoration Strategy Based on the Enhanced Dijkstra Algorithm for Korean Power Systems

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2016
When a blackout occurs, it is important to reduce the time for power system restoration to minimize damage. For fast restoration, it is important to reduce taking time for the selection of generators, transmission lines and transformers.

An optimisation method of whole‐process restoration decision‐making of power systems considering disturbance‐resisting ability of the restored network

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2023
Disturbance‐resisting ability (DRA) of the restored network needs to be considered when making a restoration scheme of power systems, to ensure system security and reduce secondary blackout risk.

Analysis and Explanation of Resonant Phenomena Involving EHV Transformers during Power System Restoration Tests

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
This paper deals with the simulation and the experimental confirmation of electromagnetic events that could interfere with the successful formation of the restoration path during the power system restoration procedure.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
