Feedback Control Strategy for Transient Stability Application

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
Power systems are subjected to a wide range of disturbances during daily operations. Severe disturbances, such as a loss of a large generator, a three-phase bolted fault on a generator bus, or a loss of a transmission line, can lead to the loss of ...

Transient stability sensitivity analysis of a simplified power system

open access: yes, 2007
There are many limits in power system operation however transient stability poses some of the most stringent limitations. Typical measures to assess transient stability, such as critical fault clearing time, provide some indication of whether or not a ...

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Identification of dominant instability modes in power systems based on spatial‐temporal feature mining and TSOA optimization

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution
The recognition of the transient dominant instability mode is of great significance for rapidly and accurately formulating transient emergency decisions in power systems. In response to the challenge of accurately distinguishing between angle instability

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Impacts of different wind power generators on power system small signal and transient stability

open access: yes, 2013
With the ever-increasing penetration level of wind power, the impacts of wind power on the power system are becoming more and more significant. Hence, it is necessary to systematically examine its impacts on the small signal stability and transient ...
