PP2 gene family in Phyllostachys edulis: identification, characterization, and expression profiles

open access: yesBMC Genomics
Background Phloem protein 2 (PP2), a dimeric lectin, is known for its involvement in plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. However, research on PP2 proteins in Moso bamboo is lacking. Results In this study, comprehensive genome-wide analysis of

PP2 Prevents Isoproterenol Stimulation of Cardiac Pacemaker Activity [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology, 2015
Increasing evidence has demonstrated the potential risks of cardiac arrhythmias (such as prolonged QT interval) using tyrosine kinase inhibitors for cancer therapy. We report here that a widely used selective inhibitor of Src tyrosine kinases, PP2, can inhibit and prevent isoproterenol stimulation of cardiac pacemaker activity.

Effect of thiazole derivative complexed with nanoscale polymeric carriers on cellular ultrastructure of murine lymphoma cells in vivo

open access: yesБіологічні студії, 2021
Background. A pronounced cytotoxic action of the thiazole derivatives complexed with polymeric carriers on tumor cells in vitro was reported earlier, while no cytotoxicity of these compounds was detected toward noncancerous cells.

Effect of growth temperature levels on photosynthetic ability and fruit quality of ‘KU-PP2’, a new low-chill peach cultivar

open access: yesAdvances in Horticultural Science, 2021
Temperature is a crucial factor in growing plants in a forcing system. Our goal was to introduce low-chill peach cultivars into a forcing culture for early-season peach production with high fruit quality.

Supervisory Efficiency and Collusion in a Multiple-Agent Hierarchy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We analyze a principal-supervisor-two-agent hierarchy with inefficient supervision. The su-pervisor may collects a wrong signal on each agent’s unobservable effort level.

Amino acid composition and protein quality of Tepary bean grains (Phaseolus acutifolius L.) as affected by sowing date and planting pattern under semi-arid condition

open access: yesJournal of Biological Research, 2021
Planting pattern and sowing date are the eminent factors affecting plant growth and development. The two-year experiment under field conditions was conducted as split plot design in three replications during 2017 and 2018.

Effects of thiazole derivatives on intracellular structure and functions in murine lymphoma cells [PDF]

open access: yesThe Ukrainian Biochemical Journal, 2020
Thiazole derivatives have cytotoxic effects towards tumor cells, such as glioblastoma, melanoma, leukemia and lymphoma. However, the intracellular mechanism of this action is not clear.
