Threshold‐optimized machine learning models using routine clinical and laboratory data in 623 adults undergoing appendectomy. Logistic regression (AUC = 0.765) and random forest (AUC = 0.785) were the best‐performing models for appendicitis detection and complicated appendicitis prediction, respectively.

Optimizing Diagnostic Accuracy of Clinical Red Flags in RASopathies
ABSTRACT RASopathies are a group of genetic disorders caused by pathogenic variants in the RAS‐mitogen‐activated protein kinase (RAS–MAPK) signaling pathway, often presenting with congenital heart defects, craniofacial dysmorphisms, and developmental delays. To assess the diagnostic yield of genetic testing in patients with suspected RASopathies and to

Serological and Molecular Typing of Plum pox Virus Isolates in the Transylvania, Romania
Plum pox virus (PPV) is considered the most destructive viral pathogen of stone fruits. Although PPV is widespread in all plum growing areas from Romania and causes serious yield losses, little is known about the virus variability.

ABSTRACT Griscelli Syndrome Type 2 (GS2) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by pathogenic mutations in the RAB27A gene. Typically, it is characterized by cutaneous hypopigmentation, immunodeficiency, with or without neurological abnormalities secondary to hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Without treatment, GS2 often results in fatal

Optical Properties of MEH-PPV and MEH-PPV/ [6,6]-Phenyl C61-butyric Acid 3-ethylthiophene Ester Thin Films [PDF]
Thin films of Poly [2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV) were prepared from chloroform, 1,2-dichlorobenzene and toluene solutions by spin coating technique on quartz substrates.

Objective This study aimed to compare positron emission tomography (PET) and plasma‐based temporal modeling of amyloid and tau biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease. Methods Longitudinal amyloid PET (n = 1,097, mean age ± SD = 72.5 ± 7.38 year, 51.4% male), 18F‐flortaucipir tau‐PET (n = 230, 74.3 ± 7.18 year, 52.2% female), and Fujirebio Lumipulse plasma p‐

Review of morphology dependent charge carrier mobility in MEH-PPV [PDF]
Charge carrier mobility in poly(2-methoxy,5(2'-ethyl-hexyloxy)-p-phenylene vinylene) (MEH-PPV) films were measured as a function of temperature and electric field parallel and perpendicular to the substrate for devices prepared from different solvents ...

AI‐Driven Mapping of Seizure Spread Patterns
Objective The focus of epilepsy research has largely been on seizure onset; however, physicians typically examine the patterns of seizure spread past seizure onset as well. This study aims to align automated seizure analysis with clinical practice, leverage deep learning to standardize seizure annotations that varies among physicians, and understand ...
