The incorporation of SiO2 nanoparticles in poly(p-phenylenevinylene)(PPV) for PPV/SiO2 nanocomposite
Journal of Electroceramics, 2007The changes in surface morphology and current-voltage characteristics of poly(p-phenylenevinylene)(PPV) thin film has been studied by varying the amount of incorporated SiO2 nanoparticles. The electronic structure of carbon atom in PPV and PPV/SiO2 nanocomposite films was studied by using near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure.

In situ Electrochemical Fluorescence Studies of PPV
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2006Conjugated phenylene-vinylene polymers are widely used in organic light-emitting and photovoltaic devices. The comprehension of the optical properties upon charge injection is of crucial importance for the improvement of such organoelectronic devices. The processes of electrochemical doping, electrolyte diffusion, and degradation have been studied by ...

Recombination kinetics of photoexcitations in films of MEH-PPV and MEH-PPV/C60 mixtures
Synthetic Metals, 2005Abstract We report on the recombination kinetics of photoexcited polarons and triplet excitons in films of poly(2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethyl-hexyloxy)- 1,4-phenylene vinylene) (MEH-PPV) and MEH-PPV/C 60 mixtures. Experimentally, the dependence of the polaron and exciton photoin- duced absorption bands on the excitation intensity and modulation frequency ...

Cold Stretching of PPV with Water as a Plasticizer
Macromolecules, 2000PPV precursors were prepared via the precursor route. The free-standing films were stretched at room temperature under an atmosphere of water vapor. Stretch ratios of up to nine could be attained easily. This procedure is less dependent on factors such as film thickness and freshness than hot stretching.

A comparison of the electroluminescent properties of poly(p-phenylene vinylene) (PPV) and a conjugated/non-conjugated alternating block copolymer has been made. The chromophoric sequences in the latter contain about 76 mol% of sequences containing three phenylene or dimethoxy phenylene rings interspersed with vinylene units, with the remaining ...

Measurement of the Charge Carrier Mobility in MEH-PPV and MEH-PPV-POSS Organic Semiconductor Films
Russian Physics Journal, 2015The values of the charge carrier mobility in organic semiconductor materials (MEH-PPV, MEH-PPV-POSS) are obtained on the basis of an analysis of the relaxation curves of transient electroluminescence in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The data on the mobility of charge carriers are analyzed according to the Poole–Frenkel model using the ...

Study of the nanomorphology of OC1C10-PPV/precursor-PPV blends by solid state NMR relaxometry
Polymer, 2004Abstract Films of conjugated polymer blends were studied by NMR relaxometry in order to improve the understanding of the nanomorphology and segmental chain mobility. Whereas optical microscopy was applied to obtain a rough impression about the surface morphology, the T1H and T2H NMR relaxation decay times were determined in the solid state (13C-CP ...

In this work, electrically detected magnetic resonance (EDMR) at X-band is used to study the electronic properties of poly(2-metoxy-5-(2 0 -etil-hexiloxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene) (MEH-PPV) light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The EDMR signal from MEH-PPV LEDs is found to be composed of two lines, a Lorentzian with peak-to-peak linewidth of 5 G, and a Gaussian

Preparation and study of PPV/PVA nanofibers via electrospinning PPV precursor alcohol solution
European Polymer Journal, 2007Abstract We have found a simple method to prepare poly(phenylene vinylene) (PPV) nanofibers via electrospinning PPV precursor alcohol solution under annealed at 180 °C in a N2 atmosphere. The nanofibers are uniform in diameter and long in decimeter magnitudes with resistance in decay, which makes them have potential applications in optical and ...
