XML reasoning made practical [PDF]

open access: yes2010 IEEE 26th International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE 2010), 2010
We present a tool for the static analysis of XPath queries and XML Schemas. The tool introduces techniques used in the field of verification (such as binary decision diagrams) in order to efficiently solve XPath query satisfiability, containment, and equivalence, in the presence of real-world XML Schemas.

Practical Reasoning in DatalogMTL

open access: yesTheory and Practice of Logic Programming
AbstractDatalogMTL is an extension of Datalog with metric temporal operators that has found an increasing number of applications in recent years. Reasoning in DatalogMTL is, however, of high computational complexity, which makes reasoning in modern data-intensive applications challenging. In this paper we present a practical reasoning algorithm for the

Sustained Therapeutic Efficacy of Intravenous Plasminogen Concentrate in Pediatric Patients With Type 1 Plasminogen Deficiency: An Analysis of Dosing Parameters and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. On the needs of theoretical and practical reason

open access: yesVoluntas, 2020
Thinking beyond the limits of possible empirical knowledge requires a subjective reason for legitimizing its judgments. According to Kant, this lies in the feeling of a "need for reason", which for its part (in contrast to "non-rational" urge) must be ...
