Prostate cancer is a leading malignancy with significant clinical heterogeneity in men. An 11‐gene signature derived from dysregulated epithelial cell markers effectively predicted biochemical recurrence‐free survival in patients who underwent radical surgery or radiotherapy.

The initial period function of late-type binary stars and its variation
The variation of the period distribution function of late-type binaries is studied. It is shown that the Taurus--Auriga pre-main sequence population and the main sequence G dwarf sample do not stem from the same parent period distribution with better ...

Lithium Depletion in Fully Convective Pre-Main-Sequence Stars [PDF]
We present an analytic calculation of the thermonuclear depletion of lithium in contracting, fully convective, pre-main-sequence stars of mass M ≲ 0.5 M☉. Previous numerical work relies on still uncertain physics (atmospheric opacities and convection, in

MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for

Magnetism, rotation and accretion in Herbig Ae-Be stars
Studies of stellar magnetism at the pre-main sequence phase can provide important new insights into the detailed physics of the late stages of star formation, and into the observed properties of main sequence stars.

Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with early breast cancer response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study evaluated EMT and TIL shifts, with immunofluorescence and RNA sequencing, at diagnosis and in residual tumors as potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.

Disk-locking Regulates Stellar Rotation in Young Clusters: Insights from NGC 2264
Many young clusters possess extended main sequences, a phenomenon commonly ascribed to stellar rotation. However, the mechanism behind their very wide stellar rotation distributions remains unclear.

On the ages of pre-main-sequence stars in Taurus
A search for pre-main-sequence stars in a region of about 12.7 deg 2 near the L 1551 complex in the Taurus molecular cloud have been made. Only two new pre-main-sequence stars have been identified from optical spectra of 383 proper motion candidates on the basis of Li I 6707 A absorption.

Peripheral blood proteome biomarkers distinguish immunosuppressive features of cancer progression
Immune status significantly influences cancer progression. This study used plasma proteomics to analyze benign 67NR and malignant 4T1 breast tumor models at early and late tumor stages. Immune‐related proteins–osteopontin (Spp1), lactotransferrin (Ltf), calreticulin (Calr) and peroxiredoxin 2 (Prdx2)–were associated with systemic myeloid‐derived ...

On 2023 March 6, the Gaia telescope alerted a 2 mag burst from Gaia23bab, a young stellar object in the Galactic plane. We observed Gaia23bab with the Large Binocular Telescope obtaining optical and near-infrared spectra close in time to the peak of the ...
