Norms on possibilities I: forcing with trees and creatures
We present a systematic study of the method of "norms on possibilities" of building forcing notions with keeping their properties under full control. This technique allows us to answer several open problems, but on our way to get the solutions we develop

Dynamical Systems on Spectral Metric Spaces [PDF]
Let (A,H,D) be a spectral triple, namely: A is a C*-algebra, H is a Hilbert space on which A acts and D is a selfadjoint operator with compact resolvent such that the set of elements of A having a bounded commutator with D is dense.

Essential Spectra of Quasi-parabolic Composition Operators on Hardy Spaces of the Poly-disc
This work is a generalization of the results in [Gul] to bi-disc case. As in [Gul], quasi-parabolic composition operators on the Hilbert-Hardy space of the bi-disc are written as a linear combination of Toeplitz operators and Fourier multipliers.

On nonlinear Schr\"odinger equations with almost periodic initial data [PDF]
We consider the Cauchy problem of nonlinear Schr\"odinger equations (NLS) with almost periodic functions as initial data. We first prove that, given a frequency set $\pmb{\omega} =\{\omega_j\}_{j = 1}^\infty$, NLS is local well-posed in the algebra ...

Two‐Dimensional Materials as a Multiproperty Sensing Platform
Various sensing modalities enabled and/or enhanced by two‐dimensional (2D) materials are reviewed. The domains considered for sensing include: 1) optoelectronics, 2) quantum defects, 3) scanning probe microscopy, 4) nanomechanics, and 5) bio‐ and chemosensing.

The disordered growth of dendrites, corrosion, parasitic side reactions, slow de‐solvation kinetics, and inherent safety risks significantly hinder the practical deployment of conventional liquid electrolyte zinc‐ion batteries. In contrast, the novel PU‐EG+DMPA‐Zn polyurethane quasi‐solid‐state electrolyte, enriched with abundant polar functional ...

Operando hard X‐ray absorption spectroscopy is applied to track the dynamic and interactive metal oxidation changes in iron group bimetallic hydroxides under different chemical and electrochemical conditions. It shows that Co and Fe oxidation are relatively equal and synchronized in CoFeOxHy.

A-posteriori analysis and adaptive algorithms for the quasicontinuum method in one dimension [PDF]
The quasicontinuum (QC) method is a coarse-graining technique for reducing the complexity of atomistic simulations in a static and quasistatic setting. In this paper we give an a-posteriori error analysis for the quasi-continuum method in one dimension ...
