The Proteo‐Transcriptome of Extracellular Vesicles and Particles Is Largely Preserved After Cryopreservation

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology, Volume 5, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles and particles (EVPs) are small lipid‐bilayer membrane structures containing proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids that play crucial roles in tumorigenesis, metastasis, and immunomodulation. The extent to which frozen tissues faithfully reflect the biology of fresh tissues remains unclear.

A Novel Multimodal LC–MS/MS Panel for the Comprehensive Diagnosis of Neurometabolic Disorders in CSF

open access: yesJournal of Inherited Metabolic Disease, Volume 49, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Metabolic testing of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is essential for early diagnosis of neurometabolic disorders. However, the large number of differential diagnoses, the phenotypic variance within a clinical picture, and the disease rarity complicate targeted metabolic diagnostics.

Does Laboratory Automation for the Preanalytical Phase Improve Data Quality?

open access: yesSLAS Technology, 2013
Our aim was to evaluate whether automation for the preanalytical phase improves data quality. Blood from 100 volunteers was collected into two vacuum tubes. One sample from each volunteer was respectively assigned to (G1) traditional processing, starting with centrifugation at 1200 g for 10 min, and (G2) the MODULAR PRE-ANALYTICALS EVO-MPA system.
