Deciphering Branched Galactomannan Structures via Multistage Ion Mobility MS and MSn Fragmentation (Multistage IMSn)

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Rationale Hemicelluloses are abundant carbohydrate components in plant cell walls. They play a crucial structural role in binding cellulose microfibrils, in addition to other biological functions. Their high structural variability directly influences their biological properties, making it important to establish a structure–function ...

Distinct Nasal Microbiome Profiles and Prediction Model for Allergic Rhinitis, Nonallergic Rhinitis, and Healthy Children

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
The alpha and beta diversity of the nasal microbiome differed among children with allergic rhinitis (AR), nonallergic rhinitis (NAR), and healthy controls (HCs). Compared to HC, AR had more Escherichia‐Shigella, Negativicoccus, and Campylobacter, while NAR had more Dolosigranulum and fewer Enterobacteriaceae.

New insights into the effect of xylooligosaccharide derived from agricultural waste, single or combined dietary supplementation with mixed probiotics on growth, flesh quality, health condition and disease resistance in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus)

open access: yesCarbohydrate Polymer Technologies and Applications
This study aimed to study the effects of single or combined dietary supplementation of xylooligosacharides (XOs), prebiotics derived from agricultural waste and mixed probiotics (Bacillus subtilis TISTR 008 and Lactobacillus plantarum TISTR 1854) on ...

Complementary Predictors for Asthma Attack Prediction in Children: Salivary Microbiome, Serum Inflammatory Mediators, and Past Attack History

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
In this two‐phase study, school‐aged children were classified as at risk or no‐risk based on severe attacks during one‐year follow‐up. Four types of prediction models were developed. Salivary bacteria and serum inflammatory markers, while informative alone, complement past asthma attacks in predicting future attack risk.

Colostrum as a Protective Factor Against Peanut Allergy: Evidence From a Birth Cohort

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study investigates whether partial colostrum feeding (PCF) due to formula supplements in the first 3 days increases the risk of food allergy beyond cow's milk. PCF infants showed increased risk of peanut allergy and multiple food allergies compared to exclusively colostrum‐fed (ECF) infants.

Healthcare Professional Survey on Complementary Feeding and Allergy Prevention in High‐ Versus Low‐Risk Infants: An EAACI Task Force Report

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Complementary feeding (CF) influences infants' long‐term dietary preferences, growth, and food allergy (FA) risk. However, guidance given to families and the implementation of FA prevention guidelines by healthcare professionals (HCPs) remain unclear.
