A 6H-SiC Sapphire fiber optic vibration sensor that can work at 1200 °C was designed, fabricated and tested in this paper. A sapphire fiber and a 6H-SiC vibration-sensitive element constituted the Fabry–Perot resonant cavity.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Multiple frequency range imaging to remove measurement ambiguity
Range imaging systems use a specialised sensor to capture an image where object distance (range) is measured for every pixel using time-of-flight. The scene is illuminated with an amplitude modulated light source, and the phase of the modulation envelope

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Four-Dimensional Thermal Analysis of 888 nm Pumped Nd:YVO4 Dual-Rod Acousto-Optic Q-Switched Laser
A theoretical analysis upon the four-dimensional (4D) spatio-temporal temperature dependent dynamics of 888 nm pumped Nd:YVO 4 dual-rod laser is established, which is valid in both continuous-wave (CW) and acousto-optic (AO) Q-switched pulse ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

LNE Activies in Nanometrology: flatness reference calibration algorithm [PDF]
The Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d’Essais (LNE) has developed an innovative ultra precision coordinate measuring machine [LAH07] traceable to the national length standard to measure three-dimensional objects with nanometric uncertainties (figure
