Hierarchical Differentiable Fluid Simulation

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
We introduce a two‐step algorithm that significantly reduces memory usage for solving control problems using differentiable fluid simulation techniques: our method first optimizes for bulk forces at reduced resolution, then refines local details over sub‐domains while maintaining differentiability. In trading runtime for memory, it enables optimization

Vascularised Brain Organoids: Engineering Strategies and Neurobiological Applications

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
This review highlights emerging strategies to engineer vascularized brain organoids—including endothelial co‐culture, genetic induction, perfusion systems, and in vivo transplantation—and their applications in modelling neurovascular diseases, evaluating BBB drug delivery, and advancing regenerative medicine.

Quasi–Newton updates for Preconditioned Nonlinear Conjugate Gradient methods

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we study new preconditioners for the Nonlinear Conjugate Gradient (NCG) method in large scale unconstrained optimization. Our preconditioners are based on quasi--Newton updates, which approximate the inverse of the Hessian matrix. In particular, we consider a couple of new low-rank quasi-Newton symmetric updating formulae.

Application Strategies of Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stromal Cells in Bone‐Related Diseases

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Engineered BMSCs and vesicles enhance therapy effects for bone diseases via multi‐strategic approaches. ABSTRACT Bone‐related diseases (e.g., osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and fractures) exhibit a rising global incidence, imposing significant burdens on both quality of life and healthcare systems.

Effects of parent–child interaction therapy dosage on child and parent outcomes: differentiating child‐directed interaction and parent‐directed interaction session impacts in child welfare‐involved families

open access: yesJournal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, EarlyView.
Background Parent–child interaction therapy (PCIT) improves parenting and child behavior, yet little is known about how dosage of its two phases, warm relationship building focused child‐directed interaction (CDI) sessions and safe, effective discipline skills‐focused parent‐directed interaction (PDI) sessions, contributes to outcomes, particularly in ...

Harnessing the Therapeutic Potential of Cell Secretomes and Extracellular Vesicles for Craniofacial Regenerative Applications

open access: yesJournal of Periodontal Research, EarlyView.
The scoping review summarizes the current preclinical and clinical evidence for the use of “cell‐free” therapies in craniofacial (periodontal, bone and soft‐tissue) regeneration. It also aims to highlight key challenges and strategies towards the clinical translation of these therapies.
