AbstractAn efficient method to solve electromagnetic scattering problems involving several metallic scatterers or bodies composed of dielectric and metallic regions is proposed. So far, the method of moments has successfully been applied to large arrays of identical scatterers when it was combined with preconditioned iterative algorithms to solve for ...

2012 IEEE 6th International Symposium on Embedded Multicore SoCs, 2012
The Jacobi iteration is often used for preconditioners with high parallel efficiency of Krylov subspace methods to solve very large linear systems. However, these preconditioners do not always show great improvement of the convergence rate, because of the strict convergence condition and the poor convergence property of the Jacobi iteration.

A New Iterative Solution Method With Alternating Interblock Direction (AID) Preconditioner
Proceedings of SPE Reservoir Simulation Symposium, 1995ABSTRACT This paper presents a new iteration method for the numerical solution of pressure equations arising in petroleum reservoir engineering. It utilizes a newly developed preconditioner and generalized conjugate gradient acceleration with a new residual constraint procedure.

Discontinuous 1-D Spherical Transport Solvers using Diffusion Preconditioner and Iterative Methods
Journal of Fusion Energy, 2011Using discontinuous Galerkin finite-element methods to solve the hyperbolic components of the transport operator in the 1-D spherically symmetric case, the convergence behavior of various iterative methods are compared and evaluated. Diffusion synthetic accelerator, a preconditioner based on the diffusion approximation to the transport equation, is ...
