THE ADVANTAGES OF IMPLEMENTING A PREDICTIVE MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE MAINTAINIG AND EQUIPMENT REPAIR AT AN ENTERPRISE WHICH PRODUCES COMPONENTS FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY INCLUDING TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND SERVICES [PDF]

open access: yes
Economic efficiency within enterprises is represented by how maintenance and repair activities are organised and operated, the under repairing equipment’s immobilization time because, by diminishing this factor significant reserve resources can be ...

Warranted Diagnosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A diagnostic process is an investigative process that takes a clinical picture as input and outputs a diagnosis. We propose a method for distinguishing diagnoses that are warranted from those that are not, based on the cognitive processes of which they ...

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.

Maintenance of inferences by adults with right brain damage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The process of inferencing involves not only generation, but also selection and maintenance of inferences. The current study examined generation and maintenance of predictive inferences in adults with right hemisphere brain damage (RHD) and healthy older

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Predictive maintenance framework for hard disk media production [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Manufacturing yield control for hard disk media is getting tougher. This is proportional to the tremendous increases of its bit/inch2 storage capacity. With the significantly difficult lithography process will be involved and drastically increase in number

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Predictive Maintenance in Tree Care - TreeAngel

open access: yesTH Wildau Engineering and Natural Sciences Proceedings
Ensuring the traffic safety of trees poses a significant challenge for urban authorities. Conventional manual inspection methods are both time-consuming and resource-intensive, and they are subject to human error.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These
