Predictive Direct Torque Control for Flux and Torque Ripple Reduction [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2010
In this paper, a prediction scheme is presented to diminish both the torque and flux ripples in a direct torque control (DTC) induction motor drive. In a discrete implementation of the classical DTC scheme, the time delay associated with data processing results in additional torque and flux ripples.

Model predictive control-based direct torque control for matrix converter-fed induction motor with reduced torque ripple

open access: yesCES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems, 2021
To reduce the torque ripple in motors resulting from the use of conventional direct torque control (DTC), a model predictive control (MPC)-based DTC strategy for a direct matrix converter-fed induction motor is proposed in this paper.

Continuous Control Set Model Predictive Control of a Switch Reluctance Drive Using Lookup Tables

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
A problem of the switched reluctance drive is its natural torque pulsations, which are partially solved with finite control set model predictive control strategies. However, the continuous control set model predictive control, required for precise torque

Direct Torque Control of PMSM with Modified Finite Set Model Predictive Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
A direct torque control (DTC) with a modified finite set model predictive strategy is proposed in this paper. The eight voltage space vectors of two-level inverters are taken as the finite control set and applied to the model predictive direct torque ...
