Predictive torque control of DFIG with torque ripple reduction
2016 IEEE International Conference on Power and Energy (PECon), 2016A novel predictive direct torque control (DTC) based on cost function for doubly fed induction generator is proposed in this paper. Finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) predicts the torque and rotor flux for the next duration of switching and chooses and applies the best voltage vector for adjusting the electromagnetic torque and the ...

Deadlock Avoidance in Model Predictive Direct Torque Control
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2012For medium-voltage ac drives, model predictive direct torque control (DTC) (MPDTC) shows excellent performance characteristics regarding the switching frequency and the harmonic distortion of the torque and the stator currents, outperforming classic control schemes such as DTC and field-oriented control. Aside from these advantages, the MPDTC algorithm

Saliency-based sensorless predictive torque control with reduced torque ripple
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2012The proposed sensorless predictive torque control (PTC) scheme relies on the anisotropy of the inductance, assuming a continuous presence of a slight current ripple. At high speed, this condition is fulfilled inherently, while at low speed it has to be ensured by an arbitrary voltage injection.

Torque ripple reduction of Induction Motor using Dynamic Fuzzy Prediction Direct Torque Control
ISA Transactions, 2020This paper presents a Dynamic Fuzzy Logic based Prediction Direct Torque Control (DFL-PDTC) technique to reduce torque ripples within the squirrel cage induction motor (SCIM). This DFL and PDTC combination reduces the high amount of torque ripple and improves the starting conditions in both low& high mechanical speeds of the motor. The Induction Motor (

Predictive Torque Control of Induction Machines Using Immediate Flux Control
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2005This paper proposes a new concept for the control of voltage-source inverter (VSI)-fed induction machines. The method uses a predictive algorithm and can be split into two parts. The purpose of the first part, i.e., predictive torque control (PTC), is to predict the stator reference flux vector corresponding to the reference torque at the end of the ...

Torque Ripple Minimization of Predictive Torque Control for PMSM With Extended Control Set
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2017To reduce the steady-state torque ripples for permanent-magnet synchronous motor drives with predictive torque control (PTC), this paper proposes a modified PTC algorithm based on the extended control set (ECS-PTC). In the proposed algorithm, more candidate voltage vectors are extended to the control set, which forms the ECS, and then, the torque ...

A Predictive Torque Control for Inverter-fed Induction Machines
2005 IEEE 36th Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2005A predictive control scheme suitable for the torque and flux control of multilevel inverter-fed induction machines is presented in this paper. The control strategy combines the use of a PI controller to obtain a good steady-state behavior and a predictive controller to achieve a fast dynamic torque response.
