A New Control Method Based on DTC and MPC to Reduce Torque Ripple in SRM

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper proposes a new control strategy to reduce torque ripple in a switched reluctance motor (SRM). The flux linkage in this paper is related to model predictive flux control (MPFC).

Intention Tremor and Deficits of Sensory Feedback Control in Multiple Sclerosis: a Pilot Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Background Intention tremor and dysmetria are leading causes of upper extremity disability in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The development of effective therapies to reduce tremor and dysmetria is hampered by insufficient understanding of how the distributed,

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Induction Motor Drive Direct Torque Control and Predictive Torque Control Comparison Based on Switching Pattern Analysis

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
This paper describes a switching pattern generated in case of induction motor drive predictive torque control (PTC) compared to a switching pattern of direct torque control (DTC).

Linear Model Predictive Control of Induction Machine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This article presents new control algorithm for induction machine based on linear model predictive control (MPC). Controller works in similar manners as field oriented control (FOC), but control is performed in stator coordinates.

Does Long‐Term Lower Extremity Strength Training in Adults With Knee Osteoarthritis and Varus Alignment Reduce Knee Joint Loading During Gait?

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We examined whether 18 months of strength training in individuals with knee varus alignment and medial tibiofemoral osteoarthritis (OA) reduced knee joint loads during walking compared to an attention control group. Methods This study was a secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial that compared the effects of strength training to a ...

MIMO nonlinear PID predictive controller [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A class of nonlinear generalised predictive controllers (NGPC) is derived for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) nonlinear systems with offset or steady-state response error.

Variable Switching Point Predictive Torque Control of Induction Machines

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, 2014
This paper introduces an approach to include a variable switching time point into predictive torque control (PTC). In PTC, the switching frequency is limited by the sampling frequency; its theoretical maximum value is half the sampling frequency. However, in reality the switching frequency is lower than this value, and thus, high current and torque ...

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.

Finite control set model predictive torque control using sliding model control for induction motors

open access: yesCES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems, 2021
Finite control set model predictive torque control (FCS-MPTC) has become increasingly prevalent for induction motors (IM) owing to its simple concept, easy incorporation of constraints and strong flexibility.
