A general analytical model of queuing system for Internet of Things applications [PDF]
Computer Science Journal of Moldova, 2020 In the given paper a general analytical model for a queuing system with limited capacity buffer intended to control packets' traffic in Internet of Things applications is proposed. This model is based on the following assumptions.

Queuing System with Two Types of Customers and Dynamic Change of a Priority
Mathematics, 2020 The use of priorities allows us to improve the quality of service of inhomogeneous customers in telecommunication networks, inventory and health-care systems. An important modern direction of research is to analyze systems in which priority of a customer

On Performance Measures of a Fuzzy Priority Queue in a Transient Regime using the L-R Method
InPrimeIn this paper, we proposed the performance measures of a Markovian queue with non-preemptive priority under transient conditions in a fuzzy environment. We study the transient performance measures of an FM/FM/1 queue with absolute priority.

Spectrum occupancy of cognitive radio networks: a queueing analysis using retrial queue
IET Networks, 2014 The authors apply the preemptive priority queueing analysis to cognitive radio networks. Using the proposed analytical model, the authors can quantify the delay, throughput and spectrum occupancy of cognitive radio networks.

Real-Time Scheduling on Uni- and Multiprocessors based on Priority Promotions [PDF]
Leibniz Transactions on Embedded Systems, 2016 This paper addresses the problem of real-time scheduling of a set of sporadic tasks on uni- and multiprocessor platform based on priority promotion. A new preemptive scheduling algorithm, called Fixed-Priority with Priority Promotion (FPP), is proposed ...

On closed queueing networks with mixed preemptive resume priority servers. [PDF]
This paper discusses a typical closed queueing network model in which multiple preemptive resume servers are present with different priority structures at each priority node. An algorithm is developed that is applicable for the three-node two-class model

A matrix-geometric solution for the multiserver nonpreemptive priority queueing model with mixed priorities. [PDF]
This paper describes the analysis of multiserver queues with nonpreemptive mixed priorities. Such priority structures occur, for example, in initiator settings within the mainframe operating system MVS: job classes have to be assigned to initiators and ...
