This study proposes a new methodology for producing metal matrix nanocomposites in the solid state. The process involves the plasma‐assisted thermochemical treatment of metallic alloy powders. As a proof‐of‐concept, TiN nanoparticles are synthesized directly on the surface of FeTi intermetallic powder particles, enabling the development of the ...

Effect of Preferential Diffusion on Turbulent Combustion of Hydrogen Mixtures.
Recently, clarifying the turbulent combustion mechanism of hydrogen mixtures and the local burning mechanism in the turbulent flame has become necessary to establish the lean-burn technique in internal combustion engines in order to protect the environment and save energy.

A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

Investigation on Ge surface diffusion via growing Ge quantum dots on top of Si pillars
We report on a simple and intuitionistic experimental method to quantitatively measure surface diffusion lengths of Ge adatoms on Si(001) substrates and its activation energy Ea, which is achieved by growing Ge quantum dots (QDs) on top surfaces of Si ...

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.
